A Casa do Azulejo is a tile and ceramics studio, founded by ceramist Ana Dominguez, aiming to introduce and teach students the art of Portuguese tile-making and contemporary ceramics.

From antique tiles deeply rooted in Portuguese culture and tradition to the ancient art of ceramics, everything has a place in this house, built to celebrate and share knowledge about these arts.

After working for over twenty years in education, Ana Dominguez decided to give shape to her passion for stories, forms, and colors through clay and tiles.

In 2017, she opened A Casa do Azulejo, a ceramics studio dedicated to Portuguese tile-making. However, her journey didn’t stop there. Her passion for Raku, with its “perfect imperfection,” inspired her to explore this ancient Japanese technique. In 2019, she created a brand inspired by the magical ritual of Raku and the passage of time. Thus, Ana Dominguez Ceramics was born—a brand that tells the stories that shape us.
